Asset Identification

Tracking
- Maintain lifecycle stages: In-stock, Assigned, Under Repair, Retired.
Auditing
- Schedule quarterly or annual audits.
- Use scanning tools or manual verification.
Compliance
- Ensure alignment with ISO 27001, ITIL, and company policies.
Integration
- Link with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira) or CMDB for automation.

Create an Excel sheet with structured columns:

Data Validation: Dropdowns for Asset Type, Status.
Conditional Formatting:
- Highlight expired warranties in red.
- Highlight assets due for audit in yellow.
Filters & Pivot Tables:
- Filter by location, status, or vendor.
- Pivot for cost analysis or asset distribution.
Dashboard:
- Summary charts: Total assets, Assigned vs Available, Warranty Expiry.
Protection:
- Lock formula cells, enable password protection for integrity.
